1. What is the most important concept you learned this semester? Explain the concept briefly and discuss why it is important.
To me, learning to properly use and reference the internet in our every day lives, particularly in the field of education. I felt it was important to learn what is and is not appropriate to put on the internet, and also learning to sift through the vast amount of resources that are available to us on the net in order to find the pearls of knowledge we are looking for.

2. From all the new knowledge you gained in this class, choose 2 facts or ideas that make the biggest impression on you. Explain.
An idea that seems awesome to me is the fact that not only am I allowed to have my own opinion, but I am allowed to post these opinions online in forums and the like, sparking discussion and yielding new theories that I may not have considered before. This freedom is both liberating and frightening, but I am glad that I potentially have the ability to generate great new ideas and change the way people look at the world. Another fact I found to be interesting is the creative commons option that you can apply to pictures you post on the web. It's just really cool to think that a picture you uploaded and granted a creative commons license to may be used anywhere else around the world and still be linked back to you.

3. What 3 skills will you take from this class, and how will you use them in the future?
Researching/bookmarking, online ettiquette, and networking myself efficiently and professionally. The search engines and bookmarking tools we were given were invaluable to me during the research process of my final project, and i definitely will still use it in the future when I have other projects or even want to learn something new for myself. Ettiquette was important to me because I don't want anyone to think that I am rude or unprofessional. Knowing the different types of things you should and should not use in certain situations is really going to help me appear more educated, and therefore a more reliable source of information and a more credible source at that. Networking myself professionally is important to me because I don't want to come off as stupid or rude or anything that is unprofessional. I learned that things you post are ALWAYS available to someone if they look hard enough, even after you've deleted it. This has made me more wary of what I put on my Facebook, my Twitter account, or any other type of social networking site that I am a part of. (If I wouldn't want my boss to see it, I probably shouldn't post it!)

4. Look at the 4 global competencies (objectives) for the course__. Which objective do you feel you developed to the greatest degree?
What did you learn about that objective, how did you learn it, and why does it matter in the world?
I think I've come the farthest in learning how to communicate my ideas to people who not only will be interested to hear what I have to say, but will also want to give their own opinions. Sure, MySpace and Facebook are great ways to communicate with people, but it's often more of a social commentary rather than an intellectual one. I've discovered forums, and I don't know how I ever lived without them. It matters to the world because these websites and forums are technological bridges that link us all to each other and make sharing concepts and learning new ways of doing things as easy as clicking a mouse.

5. What does it mean to be a global leader in the 21st century?
To me, I think a global leader should be able to navigate the internet with a good deal of skill, and also be willing to share their ideas with the world, participate in other's discussions, and just do as much as they possibly can to connect with all types of people in all types of situations all around the world.
